Yoga for Detox and Digestion
Welcome Yogis. Today we're going to be incorporating yoga twists to help aid the body in detoxification and digestion! Yoga twists help to massage our abdominal organs and stimulate Agni, or digestive fire. The Agni in our bodies allows us to digest food efficiently and absorb essential nutrients from our food. By gently twisting your body, you encourage fresh blood flow to your digestive organs. Incorporating yoga twists into your practice are great when dealing with: -bloating -gas -cramps -indigestion -IBS symptoms -pain and stiffness in the lower back Poses included in this sequence: 1. Reclined bound angle 2. Mountain pose with a Twist 3. High-lunge with an open twist 4. Chair pose with a twist 5. Extended side angle 6. Supine twist
